At the point where son want to video son-offense and defense. What should we look for in a video camera/recorder. Was going to check Costco first.

I would make sure you have a decent zoom on the camera. An optical zoom not digital. I use a small Cisco Flip Cam which they no longer make. Its about the size of a cell phone. I use a Gorilla Pod to attach it to a fence or pole. Just point it at my son (if hes pitching or when he is batting) and hit record. The biggest problem with the camera is the zoom. I get decent video but I wish it was a little closer at times.
