You mean what happened to Dallas Knights which later became the Dbat Knights see the correlation. Then the 16 Knights became the Dodgers which will become the Mustangs18's this summer basically because one great coach and one great recruiter go do the dirty work then lose players to one big name team that's team motto is "you build it they will come"So they're gone to Sam's Empire to ward off the evil spirit.

I believe only 5 or 6 of the kids are from that Image team. Then two maybe three from the old Cobra team and a few others they have found.

5sdad, you may be right, I may have exagerated when I said "majority". Whatever, the largest percentage will come from the Image.

Clemente21- I know of only one player, from the Image, that will be playing for Rockwalls Frozen Rope Blue Sox. He is an outstanding player and will make them tough when he is on the bump.

KellerDad- Dallas Image was a very good pure 15 year old team last year. Denny Dixon coached them and majority of their kids came from Plano, McKinney area.
As I understand it -- several of the Dodgers will play for DBAT 17 -- are the others going to become part of the Mustangs 18U "A" team? If the coaches are going to lead a 16U team, then they will have all new players since their 2005 guys are changing age groups. Also, some of the Image will play for the Giants, Mustangs, etc.....normal attrition? It seems like more "movement" than usual ?

My son played for the Dodgers last year and I cannot say anything but good things about Rick Gustafson or Tim Christiansen. He enjoyed his teammates very much and enjoyed playing for the coaches.

I can promise you that Rick and Tim will put together a very good and highly competitive Mustang 16U team. One thing about them they have an eye for talent and Gustafson is a very good recruiter.

I do think that several of the Dodgers have moved to the DBAT 17 year old team. They will be great additions to that team I can assure you.

Who is the evil spirit????
My son also played for the Dodgers last year. At the end of summer parents talked to parents coaches talked to parents and in the end most parties involved felt like with the kids going into their junior year the Dodgers could not provide the exposure needed to help the kids play at the next level.IMO I really think as parents we should have left the decisions up to the kids about staying together. The exposure would of came beating up on better known teams. Wink
My son chose to make a change because he wasn't happy with some of the things that happened during the season. Were we as parents unhappy? Sure but if he had said he wanted to stay then that would have been his choice. Maybe kids learn their values from their parents and therefore their choices are very similar to what their parents would choose. This doesn't always mean that we are making them for them, although maybe that happens for some, it just wasn't our case.
