I began following Boyd early when son was in HS and yearly posted his PAP here.
You should go back to his early years for PAP, amazing how he has brought attention to college pitchers abuse and the changes coaches have made. One of the decisions made to where son would play was based upon following those charts and team stats.
One very interesting thing you can pick out is pitcher development. I personally didn't
want my pitcher to go 100+ his first year, and a gradual increase (some say 30 innings per year). That to me shows development, not just throwing in yout best player even if he is the youngest. Also remember that is you wish your player to play summer ball, with all those innings per season he may need a rest. Add it all up. There are exceptions to rules, like David Price, who is a work horse by nature, not too many young pitchers are able to handle the workload he was given.
Stats can be what you make of them, and may tell a story about coaches and their program. Not only for pitchers but for position players as well.
