Not sure that buying bulk is what you need right now, unless of course you're absolutely sure which model suits you best. If your buying for the summer you may only need as few as 2-3 bats, depending on your use (and your luck). Here's one place (there are many others out there) that you may want to check out.

Many here will argue that maple is the way to go. I would disagree. Ash bats are great and generally less expensive, but be careful when selecting ash that you're getting bats with quality wood. The fewer the grains the better. My son had a Louisville Slugger M110 with 9 grains that lasted almost three summers. BTW, ash bats need to be boned to prevent chipping.

We bought my son some Carolina Clubs last fall and he loves them. At the time, they ran a special 3 bats for $85. All bats are still fine and have been used in many game situations not to mention cage work nearly every day. They have a large variety as well. Worth the look.

We took advantage of the same Carolina Clubs sale and all three bats remain alive and well. Younger son prefers the maple bats from probats.net. Those are also very durable and the price is decent.

Do not buy mad dog bats. My friend is in a wood bat league and he got one for 50+ and its already broken. They are not very durable.

I went as far as the local store and bought a Louisville Slugger. I figured what worked for me for years would be fine for my son. Now if I could just keep his friends away from his bats. He's only broken one in three years. I've bought six bats.
