Welcome to HSBBW, tricks.
I think that you should just post a link to the blog. Use the URL box at the top of the message area of the reply window. If it's information that requires a subscription, then it's better that you not copy it.
.
BaseballAmerica has a good article on Showcases.

Holden is right. That infringes "copy right laws ".
Just like you can't reproduce MLB broadcasts without the express consent of MLB.

Coach May,
I recently had a discussion with an attorney regarding copyright infringement, what is and what is not allowed. My understanding is that it is very complicated.
A lot has to do with intent, and I do not think that the poster had ill intent in cutting and pasting the blog.

TPM, I am a copyright attorney. Copying and posting the entire blog here is inappropriate. I won't bore folks here, but if you're interested, do a search of "copyright fair use" and see what you find. Pay particular attention to the part about negatively impacting the market for the copyrighted work and then think about who uses this site...

Why would that interest me? Our colleges play with wood. I have seen the difference when they play with metal bats.
For those who want to play professional they should do what they have to do. There are many who have no ambitions like my son beyond college BB.
I only go to a MLB when someone sends me tickets and not always then either. I even turned down a chance to sit in a box with hall of famer Fergie Jenkins a few weeks ago. I did go to one game and had great seats (free). The game was so bad I wanted a refund.

I did not say that it was appropriate, and I doubt that the poster realized what he was doing may not be appropriate. PG does have no portion may be reprinted or reproduced without their consent so that does make it illegal to do so. Watch out folks, don't ever copy anything you have paid for your own perosn; use!
There was no ill intent to do harm to anyone, the poster didn't realize what he/she was doing, let's get real here.
BTW, id anyone noticed, good article by BaseballAmerica.

I may be mistaken, but I'm almost positive that PGStaff gave permission for PG subscribers to reprint info from blogs on HSBBW a few weeks/months ago.

Intersting comment.
quote:I'm sorry about the subscription thing. Not sure what to do about it. It wasn't my decision, but I know it is done that way because it costs money to do it. We have three fulltime people entering scores, game wraps and blogs. Also a fulltime tech back in the office at home.
You can follow most things at the WWBA site, I think. www.worldwoodbat.com
Also, I won't tell anyone if someone with a subscription wants to copy and paste the blogs on this site. Please make sure it is only this site, and just the tournament coverage, though.

I actually pitched in the tourney yesterday. There were scouts lined up in golf carts all the way down both foul lines and probably 50 behind home plate. They weren't there to see me but I got great exposure. walked 1st batter on full count-tried to overthrow, pop up to center, then 5 straight k's. Anyone who s kid has a chance to do this-GO!
