Fungo,
Thanks for bringing this up.

After reading this topic, I decided it was time for a change, but what was I to change it to. No longer being a current Tiger Paw Mom Frown, I still don't consider myself a birdie mom at this time.
So with that in mind, it made sense to pick something that made sense, just plain and simple TPM. Smile
Look Ma I can cut and paste!

(from 2/10/2006)

I received my moniker when a man on a flaming pie appeared to me in a vision and said "from this day forward you are Bullwinkle". Thus it was so.....

Oh no, wait, that's not right…. I was a relatively a hefty guy, so I started with Bull. Naturally most inhabitants started calling me Bulls**t. I switched to Bullwinkle, because I loved watching cartoons. Still do. After I started using Bullwinkle, a woman (that I perceive as erotically exotic…..(please don’t trash my vision and tell me it was a haired back, cigarette smokin’, thong wearin’, balding comb over dude in Mississippi)) told me that Bullwinkle was a cute name, thus I became enthusiastic with the moniker. Except for today, I normally speak in third party, because Bullwinkle is a separate being.

Bullwinkle is hungry for pie.

Thanks, hadn't thought of that. Roll Eyes

Some of these are really cute, and infidel_08, I got a good chuckle on that one!
Trainscout:
In the early days, I had an interest in historic trains. Took TS jr to the local train museum almost every Saturday to climb on the engines and have a hot dog lunch. Then baseball took over. Before it did, I was a volunteer for the museum, and was able to acquire some antique signals, and 2 locomotives for the museum. So they printed up some business cards with "Trainscout" as my title.
Then we joined a Boy Scout troop and TS is very close to Eagle Scout. That fits too, then.
Funny it kinda fits with Baseball in many ways. Training, scouting for teams/ colleges, etc.
As a youngster I completed a school report on a Hall Of Fame Player who carried the nickname of the "Flying Dutchman".....

For some reason or other this player stuck with me through the years and my spirit was rekindled when I visited the Hall for the first time a few years ago...

I love the history of the game and felt "obligated" to use my hero's nickname....

It's too easy, but I'll ask - what's the player's real name....
