exactly right Beast. on paper corsicana should have inside track with remaining games, but this game isn't played on paper. we need our bats in corsicana to be given a wakeup call before friday night. been a struggle all year for us. Tuesday against Midlo saw us start the game with 3 straight hits and that was the end of it. 1 more baserunner reached on a walk. looking to take care of waco high and cleburne. Cain and hachie are sandwiched in between them on saturday. ennis has midway, midlo, and university. exciting finish, even for a 4th place battle.

My opinion would be Forney is better.

Sometimes it is written into your district rules at the begining of the year. In the past I have seen it several different ways. 1) A playoff game. 2) A coin flip. 3) Head to Head. 4) Runs scored. 5) Runs allowed. 5) Most hot dogs sold at the concession stand. Smile Just kidding about that one. Slow day around here.
thats true, but we saw him get rattled against us before the uil suspension of games. did not have his best stuff( scouts left early) coupled with a few errors, passed balls, slow rollers, hit batters, and general sloppiness from his defense. our guys played their hearts out but surrendered the lead in the bottom of the 6th. he was still very impressive! many of our hitters along with his catcher were just overmatched by him. to watch the play of him and your cf is exciting stuff.
Being a fan of Red Oak, I must brag on our baseball team for next year. The pitching should be even better than it was this year as they will have seniors Brent Fletcher,Tanner Milke, juniors Robert Ells, Garett "Red" Thomas, and possibly another lefty. Finishing off the rotation should be two very good upcoming sophmores, (not sure of first names) McMillion and Milke. Although they should be somewhat young having to replace several seniors they should be very good in the on offense/defense. With this years "New Comer of the Year" Robert Ells returning in left along with either McMillion or Justin (Macormic?) in center. They also get Travis Wallis back in right. The infield will be very young with the exception of first base and catcher. Should a very exciting next few years for Red Oak!! How does Poteet, Forney, Terrell and West Mesquite look for next year? Anyone?
next year should be a real adventure for poteet. we won't even come close to replacing brett doe's glove at short or his bat. our only returning infielder will be at 1st and we will have our third different centerfielder in three years. we loose one lefty pitcher and our pitching wasn't as strong as we thought it would be this year. we will also loose our second class to the new sunnyvale high school. looks like the days of reloading are over at poteet. should make the playoffs but probably second or third in 15-4A.
Go Pirates
Our problems were solved yesterday. We have two new move-ins from the Dominican Republic. They are twins. One is right handed and the other is left handed. One is 6'3" 215 and the other is 6'5" 220. One plays shortstop and the other one plays centerfield. And they both pitch. And check this out they are only sophomores. Oh yeah they are switch hitters also. I looked them up on Perfect Game Latin America. They both ran a 6.5 60 at the 2008 Latin America Showcase in September. The shortstop threw 93 across the infield and the centerfielder threw 95 from the outfield. On the mound they both touched 96 with outstanding 12/6 curve balls and an awesome change up. Also it said they both can hit for power. Ain't that great. They moved in just down the street from me. I think they have a couple of more brothers a little younger. We might make the playoffs again next year from the 4th spot.

Go Pirates, Beside Griffin how many sophmores did yall have this year on varsity?

one other that got limited playing time and one that was used mostly as a defensive replacement late in games.
