$2000 for 10 hitting lessons

My son took hitting lessons in HS from a 14-yr MLB player (was an MLB AllStar Game MVP and played in 2 WS). The lessons were very effective for my son and he charged $75 per 1-hour lesson.

Oh yeah....well...well...I once heard of a guy charging $25,000 for a full season.

Being a former MLB player doesn't necessarily guarantee quality instruction. I've paid $70 an hour for the chance to listen to a former MLB'er offer such pearls of wisdom as "squish the bug", "swing down on the ball", and "see the ball - hit the ball" over and over with no real, meaningful flow of information from him to my son.

At least they aren't asking for a percentage of all future earnings like I have heard happens in the Dominican Republic.
