According to Richmondbraves.com 2012 right handed pitcher Kyle Majette from Jamestown High School has to East Carolina University.

deleted Garten above to eliminate confusion.

Congratulations to David Geary of Benedictine H.S. on his decision to be a Keydet! Coach Ikenberry and the Virginia Military Institute are getting a fine young man.

Sean Ryan is creating something special out at the Abbey! Not only does he continue to win, but his players play the right way and I think we will continue seeing talent get funneled through BHS.

Geary is currently playing for Donnie Phillips RBA West Elite team.

Geary is a lefty hitting SS with a QB's arm (starting QB at BHS). Possible corner guy at VMI.

We are removing Cooper from our commitment list. He told us last night "it is still early and I am interested in some other schools"

Kit Scheetz, LHP from James River HS and also of the Virginia Cardinals, has committed to Virginia Tech!

Congrats to Kit and family! That is awesome news.

Kirby to UVA, Scheetz to VA Tech, and Roberts to go along with them at James River. Talk about one hell of a pitching rotation. That team is gonna be tough.

What an incredible 6-12 months this must have been for Scheetz. Amazing story to come back from the knee injury and just deal all year long. Congrats to him and his family.

Have to agree with Emanski.

Kit may very well be the "come back player of the year" and probably should have been in the mix for "player of the year" or at least "pitcher o.y."

I'm very proud of Kit and happy for his family.

Yes, in fact he started against the Drillers in our game at the old JMU stadium field a couple weeks ago.

Heard today that Tyler Carrico of James River verbal committed to UVA...pretty amazing that of JR's 4 pitchers next year, 2 have committed to UVA, 1 to VA Tech, and then have jack roberts who can probably go anywhere he wants..bodes well for another good run for JR.

Glad to confirm that all this is true! Happy for Tyler and happy to have our second Cardinals pitcher join the UVA recruiting class of 2012!

Pitching there was a special thrill for Tyler, whose lifelong dream was to pitch for UVA. He had a bit of nerves at first but got over it quickly and made a strong impression obviously. The extra adrenaline helped him hit a new high in MPH as well.

It was yet another outstanding event from the Canes/Dynamic organization. We still have one more to do with you this summer and are looking forward to it. Always at the top venues, always tons of scouts present.

Wow congrads for him and his family!!! Is this the same young man that pitched in the regional final game? If it is I heard he didnt get that many innings during the regular season?

This question may not be answerable on here, but does UVA have the inside track on Jack Roberts, too? It would be easy to jump to that conclusion since his brother went there but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Anyone have thoughts?

I dont know Jack Roberts but it would make sense for him to go there. Like you said, his brother went there, and now we have learned that Nathan Kirby and Tyler Carrico have committed to UVA as well. Like latazaea said, he can go where ever he wants but UVA has to be at the top of his list.

I know this doesn't really relate to this thread, but I was wondering if anybody knows where Ethan Carter will be playing next year? I know that when he left South Carolina to go to Louisburg, Ray Tanner said that he could come back next year.

Most likely, he will be back at SC.

Boyle had a break out year at Deep Run. He is playing summer ball with Donnie Phillips RBA West Elite team.
