Ty Kobylinski - Former Mid-Atlantic Mustang and current So Cal NTT Utility player (Heritage HS) has committed to play at Wake Forest.
Thomas Rogers has switched his commitment from UGA to UNC.
Two solid schools, A question if I may Redbird.
Is this done without ill feelings by any of the parties. For instance does one ask to be released from his commitment from UGA to then commit with UNC. OR does one just tell UGA they are changing.
Does a school like UNC still seek ballplayers regardless of if they have "committed" or not.
Just wondering why a ballplayer would commit early if he was still looking.
Saw Rogers pitch and his stock certainly went up with his last two starts.

I believe Rogers "de-committed" from Georgia, then committed to UNC in a very short period of time.
These commitments are not binding on either end. The player and/or the school can walk away from it at any time until the papers are signed during the players senior year of high school.
It is a verbal, non-binding commitment. Each kid has his own reasons for moving on. I am not at liberty to talk about why Thomas decommitted from GA.
Schools, in general, have a gentleman's agreement to not pursue others' verbals. But, if they were "in" on a player before he committed, they usually tell the recruit to call them if anything changes, except for some schools who hang up on kids when they find out they "lost" them.

Congrats to Dalton and family! That is great news.
Jordan Sergent from Atlantic Shores Christian School just announced that he will be continuing his baseball career at West Virginia. I've had the privilege of watching Jordan play the past three years at Shores. WVU is not only getting an outstanding ball player, they're getting a great kid also.
Seargent is a great athlete.

We've had the pleasure of playing them, and it's a pleasure because they are talented and they play the game right. Every game is a dogfight, the way it ought to be.
Question: is Seargent going to WVU strictly as a LHP or as a 2-way guy?

Sergent is going to WVU as a 2 way player. Here's an article posted on his school's web-site:

I heard Kyle Palmer from Patrick Henry to Radford. Not sure if correct. Can anyone confirm?
Yes. Kyle has committed to Radford.
You can see Kyle here. I'm assuming he will be going to pitch but unfortunately I dont have pitching film because he threw the day before. But he is a great athlete.

You have James Stroud listed as a Bishop Sullivan 2013 grad. I'm pretty sure he's back at Kellam for his senior year.
Jordan Sergent is Atlantic Shores not Atlantic Christian

There is no story. He played for the Canes this summer and is playing IYG for the fall.
Once a kid signs his scholarship they will leave their expensive showcase team to play for a cheaper team closer to home. Saves the family money.
