1) Why do you think the Canes are expensive?

2) Many kids don't do what you say simply because they want to play the best competition available. Most of the time this is with top tier teams. There are only a handful of kids that leave top teams to stay closer to home after earning and accepting an offer.

This thread has gone way off topic. Perhaps some people like drama.

I can 100% say that the Sims family has nothing but respect all the clubs that Michael has played for.

He used to play for a team. Then he decided to play for another team. It was a personal decision. It was not because of anything bad or dramatic with the prior team. It was not a financial decision or a decision based on already being signed or not.

I'm already looking forward to the next 2013 that signs so we can move on from this.

There is no DC board, but I want to give some recognition to some kids that deserve it.

All 3 kids play for Antoine Williams and the DC Dynasty. Antoine is a great guy running a great program. He is helping out his DC guys big time too! Talk about some academic studs!

Johnny Read (Potomac & DC Dynasty) commits to Williams. See him... http://www.playinschool.com/dcdynasty/read.html

Pedro Mateo (Woodrow Wilson & DC Dynasty) commits to Grambling. See him here... http://www.playinschool.com/dcdynasty/mateo.html

Andrew Reid (Maret & DC Dynasty) commits to Harvard. See him... http://www.playinschool.com/dcdynasty/reid.html

Checked out that Alumni list last night and there were a couple of names missing which makes the 2013 class all the more impressive.
Congrats to both.

You can see Del Fuller here...

If you haven't seen Fuller, he is one of the best natural 1B in this class. Great footwork around bag and fantastic hands. Being a former MIF, I cant stress how much confidence that gives the rest of the IF.

Please forgive (or enjoy) the music that was coming from the P.A. I think that may have been Jock Jams Volume 1 circa 1995. It made for a great atmosphere that day, but a shock to the system when watching the film!

Congrats to Ryan Burnett (Steward & Swamp Things) who will Play In School at Swathmore!

See him here... http://www.playinschool.com/swampthings/burnett.html

He will be competing against a growing list of academic heavy weights that Play In School has worked with that have landed in the Centennial Conference. If you have a son that is a high academic achiever looking for an elite education, you should look into that conference.

It was a banner day yesterday for the Virginia Cardinals and Christopher Newport University, as FOUR of our 2013 players committed to playing for the Captains next year:

John Booker, RHP/OF/3B/1B, of the CVHSA Patriots

Jaxn Lane, LHP, Manchester

A.J. Nicely, OF, Cosby

Austin Powell, RHP, Manchester

Congratulations to these four players!
