OP- Jared did hit a bomb, but over the lights.... an exaggeration. It ended up between the tennis courts at Jesuit, which means it was anywhere from 380-410. Still a moon shot that didn't take long to get out.

I'm sure ML will do fine in the MM, and I'm sure they'll win the first game. Last year they won two games I think, not bad. There is no need to diss the Mavs, when OP is supporting DBAT.

dtiger- no reason to offer a contrary opinion about Jarrod's bomb. I along with many others thought the ball went over the lights. As far as estimating length, I didn't walk it off any more than you did.

See you at DBAT sometime.

Great tournament performances by Hamilton Wise, Teddy Nowell, and Jerrod McKinney too.

PD ~ That's very impressive! Way to go! I'll never forget Burkburnett, and how impressive the team was there. Looks as if they've just capitalized on their abilities throughout the summer! I look forward to their success in McKinney...the gravy is sweeter once it turns to icing! Wink

As for the 15's, we have opening ceremonies at 6pm Monday. I guess we'll get the schedule then.

Continued well wishes for ALL our TEXAS teams!

I think the tennis courts stopped the ball before it "rolled" to 430'. None the less, it was a big thrill when the ball left his bat and the anticipation of did it have enough...yes.

Nice post PD and all of the kids were major contributors this weekend and all season. DBAT record is 43-10-2.

I am looking forward to McKinney next week but need to relax and take a deep breath tonight.
I feel it would be remiss of me if I didn't recognize Logan Stout and his 16U Patriot team. For those of you out there who haven't seen this team play, you are missing some very good ball players. This team can flat out rake! More importantly, they fight and battle to the very end. The games today were battles, despite the score in the second game, I never felt comfortable until we took the big lead in the last inning. I would also say that the ball bounced our direction today. In the second game, Patriot batters barreled up several balls only to have it go right to one of our players. Had some of these balls gone a little this way or little that way, we may still be out at the field scoring runs against each other.

Tip of the hat to Logan and his 16U Patriot team!

I guess things didn't go well in Georgia because most of your team wasn't there to help?
OP, first off let me say the Dallas Giants have no 07 grads from Rockwall so whoever BP07 is he must have some interest in the Giants Organization & #7 for Giants is from Plano not Rockwall......as for the tournament in Georgia the Giants did not play up to their ability as you well know. Yes, DBat did beat the Giants as did the your "other" Team the second half of the season, but we were not blown out of either of those games compared to the outcome of the first two games of the season. If my remember correctly OP's son came in late in the first game of the season & got shelled by the the Giants offense as did the starter for DBat the first time the Giants faced them. The Giants have quality players as well as quality Coaches (Mike Jeffcoat & Johnny Perlman) need I say more.

OP, don't stoop to the level of some of the posters on this board. It is not worth your time or energy. Anybody that would post derogatory comments about a 16 year old is not the kind of person you can have a civil conversation with.

This message board is suppose to be a resource for information. A place to celebrate individual and team victories and accomplishments. This board is not a place to hide behind an anonymous board name and stir up trouble.

Good luck to ML and the Mavs.

Kirk, the Giants have never in the past posted on this website, but when OP called out the Giants after one bad tourney in Georgia then I felt the need to respond. baseball07 does not play for the Giants, period. There was nothing derogatory meant by my post, take it the how you want, but don't call out a whole team for ones person response that doesn't even belong to the Giants organization........

Opinions are like a**holes, everybody has one. Meaning if you think your post was harmless, I think OP's post (that you are referring too) is as harmless.

** my main point, this message board is not meant to be for "he said, she said" garbage. It is to recognize, celebrate, educate and have fun.

If you think you have to come on here and defend the honor of a team, organization, or player, then nut up and use your given name so everybody knows who you are. However, I would prefer that we use the board for what it is intented for!

HE'd be playing for the GIANTS by far the most talented team in Dallas. He would just move where the grass is greener. $$$$

Can you say Team USA for MR COLTON=David Wright

BP08,

How would you have responded to these posts? My poke at the CC thing was just for fun really. It seems that ya'll have struggled when he's not playing with you guys is the only point I was making. He's a stud and I can see how a team can struggle when one of the best players in the country for his age is not with the team. I have to say that you guys did shell ML in that game he pitched against you guys. He was impressed by the bats you guys have.

Good luck at the MMWS. I'm sure Colten will be there for that.

I don't agree that the ballplayer07 is not a Giant player, though. Just my opinion though.
OP
Good luck to ML and Lackie family.
Jealousy always brings out the worst in people especially when its directed at the ones you care most for. We as parents have some difficult decisions but the man up stairs will lead the way.The grass was greener(nice quote)somewhere else
for the Lackie family I believe from the conversations we had while you were working 10-10.
Good Luck and tell Matt to enjoy the moment.
God gave him a gift.
