I've long held to the belief that a wager on my son's team...even if for something as inconsequential as an avatar...would be tantamount to the "Sports Illustrated" cover jinx!

I did go looking for you, but after three rejections from three blonds in yellow, I figured Bullwinkle had struck out. (It reminded me of HS) I was listening to your message when Jr got a hit and accidentally erased your telephone number. My hooves are rather large and working small phones is rather difficult. So sorry. I hope you had a great time in the OC, weather was cool, fog was dense, but Sunday was nice.

Very cute avatar, DB2BMom - I might have to borrow it back when the week is over. As I said yesterday, while the outcome wasn't quite what you hoped (we were pleased), your son looked very poised and confident on the mound. Good form, and great pitches! It will be quite fun to watch him over the next couple of years

Hey, our guys were ready. It was YOUR bus that for some reason didn't want to risk life and limb to go through 12 inches of snow and ice, to play a nonconference game, in the rain, wind, snow flurries, and 35 degrees. Boy, some folks will look for any little excuse...
