Hi all,

My son is a 13U player this summer and has just been invited to play in the Baseball Factory Vero Beach Christmas Camp and Tournament. It runs Dec. 27-30 and costs $2999 (includes meals and hotels). The boys play atleast 4 games and are working with so called "pro coachs" all day.

I was just curious if any of you guys have intended and what your thoughts were about the program and Baseball Factory.

Thanks

That seems outrageously expensive, unless they are eating lobster, steak, caviar, and it includes first class round trip air fare. Son never went to the camp or attended a Baseball Factory event, but he has played games there, as well as stayed on the facility for some weekend practices with his travel team. Facility is the Old Dodger Spring Training complex. It's adequate, but older, and food is average at best. Can't imagine a 13 year old would want to spend Christmas Break this way. The Doyle baseball camp, using Joker Merchant stadium fields and facilities in Lakeland, Fl. (current Tigers spring training facility), could be a good choice for a young teen wanting to get good instruction and experience. Floridafan might be a good source of info.
