I am very confused.  Some people are telling me that coaches can start talking to kids august first of their Junior year.  Some people have told me that means the summer of their junior year as in going to be a senior.

Then I read, no, its aug 1st of the rising juniors year.

SEC recruiting coordinator: "I think it's been great. The ability to get to August to first communicate with a rising junior

Which is it?  Rising Junior year?  So a 2027 can be talked to effective 8/1 of next year

Or rising Senior, which would be two more years.

It's August 1st **before their junior year** of HS.

So 2026s can start talking directly to coaches 4 weeks from tomorrow. 2027s have another year to wait.

It was more to figure out when to get video and start emailing a number of colleges.  So based off the information, I plan on doing that in February or so, right before hs season starts or maybe wait until end of hs season and get some ab's on film as well.

In February the college coaches are gearing up for their own season. Better to wait until May when they have more bandwidth for recruiting.
