They lose and they still keep their lead and even increase it--- true sign of the stars being aligned this year for them which happens to be the 20th Anniversary of the great 86 season

Hopefully they will continue and be able to keep Pelfry down on the farm and get him regular innings and prep him for next year

Interesting thought--- will Smoltz join his buddy Glavine at the trading deadline?

Don't count Atlanta out - we won 1 game in a row last week. We did find out what was wrong with the Braves - the younger guys were confused - they thought we should have a high ERA and low BA. That has been corrected.

TR - are you trying to completely break my heart - 1st Maddux, then Glavine now you want Smoltz. And no I cant say @@@s - they will always be refered to as the Mutts in my house

The Mets are blessed with the curse of being the best team in a horrible division. No one will challange them until they get to the WS. The best teams in the AL are beating on each other all year. Who is going to toughen up the Mets?

We shall see. Look at the interleague stats. The NL is getting pounded. The Mets should win the Pennant, which is astounding in itself, but getting past Detroit, Chicago, Boston or New York will depend on pitching. Right now Detroit has more than anyone else, including the Mets.

A good point, as the Mets are in the 99% in the playoffs, while the Yankees and Red Sox are fighting for the playoffs. You can't win the WS unless you are in the playoffs.
