I don't believe I called anyone "a retard". I believe used the adjective form of this verb:

–verb (used with object)
1. to make slow; delay the development or progress of (an action, process, etc.); hinder or impede.

to modify "socially", which has no bearing on children with Down Syndrome.

I also don't think I would run around using using my child's unfortunate condition as token to try to scoreboard people.

I have been a non-participant of this site for several years, but the more I read, the more disgruntled I become. There are some people on this site that are agenda driven rather than doing and saying what is in the best interest of their child. That is pathetic and the bickering seems to be getting worse. For those of you looking for trouble and fights, simply go somewhere else. But stop mouthing and causing trouble here. This is the boys baseball period.

To the rest of you folks that use this site for its intended use - I applaud you.
Oh, and Plano West will not make the playoffs (hope horns still browses), and Matt Dean will go top 10. Higgins will finally retire, and Heath will win a lot of games, again.

That being said, MSL is the second best way to get seen outside of doing a showcase/prospect camp. Even East Cobb doesn't have more radar guns than can fit, somewhat uncomfortably, behind home plate. Even if you are good enough, THEY WILL NOT COME TO YOU. Be assertive, show interest, do things like MSL and Headfirst and TPS Top 100's (The Princeton Camp is very good, as an aside), and send out videos. There are coaches who will do work for you, two of which have posted on this thread, but they are a dime a dozen. Your son needs to make it happen himself, and to take initiative. But most of all, he has to be good enough.

I'm predicting Stout's Patriots 18 team over the Dallas Yankees at Farmington.

Which one is going to win a qualifier?

I've put some thought into that. I've got the Yankees coming out of the Phoenix qualifier. Stout qualifies out of the regional, beats out Carpenter's squad, 1-0 final. Just remembered how young Sam's team was last summer, should be a good team.

I'm also going to go ahead and drop Bundy into the top 5. Any hints on where I should put Bradley? Haven't ever seen him. Can't have any one of my predictions not coming true...

I gave up predicting the draft.

All I can tell you is in Bradley's last performance he was 94-98 with an 84 mph breaking ball.

Keeping my fingers crossed for good health for both of the boys.

No DBacks?
No, not at the point of writing. Saunders had the 17u last year I'm pretty sure so he will have that same team next year since they keep teams and coaches together (best way to do it in my opinion) Anyway, although I recall that particular team being quite salty, I also don't recall their rotation going very deep with Farmington-like arms. I would estimate that it takes 4 very good starters to get all the way through a qualifier or a regional, what with the quality just of metroplex baseball today, and I'm not sure the Dbacks will have that this year, provided they don't add pieces.
Lots of negativity here. I think I'm just going to go ahead and freeze this in time and let my pics to the talking come next summer. We have a whole, more important, school season to play anyway.

Let's not fool ourselves. One good start a good pitcher does not make, although any Talladega Knights reference is more than welcome.

If anything I'm just giving bulletin board material. I consulted little more than my magic 8 ball and thinks I have deduced through personal observation and heard through the grapevine.

The thing that I like about the Patriots and the Yankees is that they were young last year, although the same can be said for the Dbacks. Not a clue what Bill Hood will bring.
