From what I have seen in person, read on here and other various places, and spoken to other people about I have come to the conclusion that.....

FM will run away with the district
Marcus has a very good 1-2 punch on the mound
Plano is the same as above
East is the same as above
Allen is the same as above
West can swing the mess out of it, but not real good on the mound.
Hebron has Farley
Lewisville is better, but flip a coin on who shows.

I dont think ALLEN, WEST, HEBRON, OR LEWISVILLE will make the playoffs. I know west is 8-1 and have a couple quality wins, but it has been late in tournaments when they are seeing others teams 4s and 5s. Allen is 6-3, but after they beat SLC and LD Bell Thursday I went and watched them play and they did not look very good. Hebron will compete when Farley takes the hill, and again Lewisville is a coinflip.

lots, lots, and LOTS of baseball to play. Smile From the looks of it, most of the games so far have been very close... fun to watch

Very true. Flower Mound appears to be the elite team and the rest of the district is a dogfight ...there are no doormats and every victory in district is a good victory.

GREAT baseball district. Each team in this district has quality non district wins. This week will be huge for each team. With the weather report looking like it is, pitching depth is going to be crucial. And teams that struggle to score runs will suffer next week. Any thoughts or predictions on the next few games for each team?

I assume that the Tuesday games are going to be washed out and may not be played until Thursday. That means 4 games in 6 days.

Everybody is scheduled to play this Friday & Saturday...would teams play 3 games on consecutive days?

With so many games in such a short time, pitching depth will really seperate this district in the coming week(s). From what I can tell, FM will be just fine (capitan obvious), Marus will be fine, Allen seems to have 4 guys (Per DMN stats), plano will be fine, East MIGHT be ok, hebron, lewisville, west are screwed. Unless West can win a slugfest. Which is possible.

LHS will be fine, CG winner vs West, two pitchers yet to go in district one with a 3-0-1 record, 2 CG's including an 8 inning outing resulting in a tie vs state ranked Austin Westlake. Plus two that went against Allen in a closely contested game.

It will ultimately come down to timely hitting by any of these schools.
I went to the FM vs PSHS game. First time I've seen either play. Gunter threw for FM and the lefty going to TCU threw for PSHS. In my view, Plano was just the better team. They out hit FM and even gave them the benefit of 3 error (think FM had 1). FM seemed frustrated in every at bat due to the time it took Plano to call the pitch from the bench, the catcher to check his wristband, then to call the pitch, then for the pitcher to start his motion (it did take too long in my opinion...but it seemed to cause FM to lose their composure). FM's SS got into a jawing match with a couple of Plano's kids...even kicking dirt on the Plano catcher at one point. Seemed a little immature to me. I'm sure their next matchup will be fun as I bet that kid will be on the mound for FM.
