High School Season and High School Career for my son ended yesterday......So sad.

However they went out in great fashion - STATE CHAMPS!

Lefty pitched a complete game for the win.  Except for a 3 run home run - shut them out.

He missed graduation in order to play the FINAL GAME.

I'm going to miss High school Baseball....but boy what a ride this season was!

Update:  Still going here in New York.  Won the Section Championship Friday night overcoming a 6 run deficit going into the 7th with an 8 run rally. The boy was 2 for 3 in 5 plate appearances with 2 doubles, a walk and HBP.  The HBP was an inside curve off the plate he let hit him, taking one for the team to help start the rally.  He scored the 2nd run of the rally and drove in the last.  Down to the last 8.  3 wins away from a state championship.

So proud of my son and his team mates at Cleburne High School in Texas.

Team went 36-7 and one win (in actuality about 6 inches in game 2 of our 3 game series vs. Wichita Falls Rider) away from the state tournament.

Dylan Schneider (sophomore) finished the year 16-0 with an ERA of 1.04.  119 K's and 15 walks.

Was voted district pitcher of the year, 1st Team 4A all-state (Coaches and Writers), and Player of the Year on the Fort Worth Star Telegram Super Team.

Summer has started with the Texas Stix Black - Phillips by qualifying for the Mickey Mantle World series.

Trips to College Station and Lubbock, as well as the MM World Series will keep us busy until the end of July.
