OPson.... I hope you are right, I want to watch some good baseball here this year. I have heard there are large shoes to fill though and you have to keep in mind the difference from JV to Varsity . Don't know about things around here much but back home.. there was a big change from the two. I just want to see some good games and competition. From what I hear this area has some of the best.
I'm obviously biased but I think Frisco HS has a real chance to be a sleeper in district 9-4A, they return 8 of 9 starters with all of their pitching coming back and some real senior loaded talent, they definately have a chance to surprise, watch out
Man 8 of 9 starters thats alot! gonna be a fun game when they play McKinney North im pickin North
Yup that should be a fun one, do you have a kid at North or do you play there?
FHS......OPson11 plays for North. He was at Rockwall last year and moved back to McKinney. He's a pitcher and catcher.
What are the names of the coaches at Frisco now? Varsity and JV. A guy I know used to be the JV coach there and I was wondering if he was still there.
Thanks.
PS....Tell Tyler Sibley that Jeff Lackie said hello the next time you see him. He's a great kid.

Oh ok, Matt Lackie i know who you're, I've played against you a few times and I heard you trasfered over to North, yall should have a real solid rotation with yourself and Appleby. As for Mr.Lackie yeah Tylers a good kid has a little cokcy side to him but the can back it up a rweal good player and one of my best friends, our Varsity HS is Scott Cook real smart baseball man and our JV coach is Neil Carpenter. Good luck to yall this year and hopefully we can take a game or 2 this year and get back to the playoffs in a still competetive district...
FHSbaseball1 - you are right about Coach Cook. Aside from being a smart baseball man, he is a true gentleman. I enjoy sitting and talking with him when I can get by the field.
It has been a long 4 years of missing the playoffs and I hope the Raccoons can get back on track this year.

FHS,
You guy's still have Landry Davis?
He pitched both times we played Frisco and he did well. You guy's won the first game 2-1, and we won the final game 3-0. That lefty pitcher that pitched for us (Lake Dallas) both games will be back. Maybe those two can go at it again if Landry is back. Two very good games last year.

Landry Davis is a senior.
OP, Landry is a senior this year. He was a freshman when my sons were seniors 3 years ago.
Of course, I member Boydston a real tricky lefty should give teams fits in the district this year and yeah Landry is back having gained a little velocity on his fastball so I hear, he'll definately be the ace of the staff. As for Cook hes a very knowledgeable baseball man and yup he's a class act too..should be a competitive district this coming year im excited
what about Coppell? i know the have Cole but who else do they have for pitching?
Coppell has a pretty good right hander De La Chappelle.

I heard he was injured. I have no idea what it is or how long he will be out.
Kaskow is listed as a Pitcher first on their website, it should interesting to see if English uses him to pitch or not this year.
Several other kids had good summers pitching. English should have some options besides flipping a coin if they make the playoffs.
David hurt his knee last fall but rehabbed completely from the injury. Saw him play a few times this summer and he was back to his old stuff. His submarine pitch when working is NASTY.
Wow, I learned alot and appreciate all the replys (175)to this topic. There's just so many good teams in this area to talk about and great baseball players as well.
