Hello,

I really love Lion Baseball, and I'm glad to be here "forumming" with ya'll. I see that some of the blood is stirred here, that's always a good thing, so don't be ashamed of it! I went to the game tonight, and let me just say that both teams were much more classy than I had anticipated...due to the forum up to this point. What was especially pleasing was the subdued nature of the Poteet fans...who said they were rowdy and obnoxious?!? I tip my hat to Mesquite and McKinney for making the game a fun time.
Unfortunatley I had to miss the game last night. What the heck happened with all the Es on Poteet. Without naming names what positions did not have thier "A" game last night. Must have been something in the air last night. I was forced to listen to the North Mesquite - Plano West game to see if I could get Poteet updates. Plano West had 9 errors (4 in one inning) but still managed to win 4-2. I also just read Highland Park had 4 errors in one inning in thier 6-3 loss against Nacadoches.

I guess jumping out to a 6-0 lead will do that to the losing teams fans.
But tonight may be a different story. Poteet back at home
P1--I think the only players on the field for Poteet last night that didn't make an error were 1st base and center field...that should tell you how the game went. When the opposing team scores 5 runs with 2 outs and 1 hit, I don't think the wheels fell off, I think the car broke down! Hopefully tonight will be a much better game. I would expect to see TN Jr. on the mound tonight.

Hopefully HIS DEFENSE WILL SHOW UP!!!!

Well not to try to second guess anyone. I would have pitched Teddy last night. Then hope the home field helps you win 1 out of the next 2. Our other pitchers, do much better at home where they are more comfortable. Thats all assuming he gets the win last night.

Besides that there is a good chance of storms Saturday afternoon. Might get Teddy an extra day of rest then come back and pitch more in game 3 (if needed of course)

It doesnt matter who pitched, or where they pitched, its about who played better, and the lions did that last night. It might not have been either of their aces pitching, but McKinney got the job done... didnt they? You can say all you want about how the Poteet pitchers like to pitch at home, or they are more comfortable there, but for all I know that was a neutral site last night, and a very cool one might I add. Van Los Leones!
I thought I saw TN JR watching the game not far from TN SR. Smile

6E, 8E, 4E in one inning, whatever -- ugly baseball

McKinney simply played a cleaner game last night -- they deserved to win. A very nice performance from an unexpected starter. The Poteet outfielders seemed lost on the larger field.

In any case, it's a fine venue to watch baseball.

Poteet will be back on familiar ground. I bet West will be glad to be back on grass. Smile

Well McKinney is in the drivers seat now. If they do finish the job, I hope they make it all the way to Round Rock to show those people down south we have good baseball here too. But its not near over here yet hopefully at least 14 more innings to play. MHS still has a big hurdle to get over tonight.
