I just changed this setting:

I had Notifications set on Medium for the whole community when we launched last night. That seemed to be triggering a lot of notification emails, so I just re-set it to Low, which I think is more like our old forums. You can always click Follow on a topic to receive notifications when someone posts on that thread.

Julie,

One thing I do miss from the old format is being able to easily see who is signed on to the site.  I see the widget you have set up shows 12 members however in the old text format I think you saw everyone at one time.  Not a complaint mind you, just curious if you have other options to show who is online (and not just their avatar)?

I have not read the other replies so I am not sure if I am repeating what others might have said. While I will try to adjust to the new format, I prefer the older traditional thread format.

Also when I would go to the main forum page I liked being able to see who was logged in/online. Now it does look like something similar is to the right, but it only shows the persons avatar, not the name of the poster. Is there a way to change that?

NIce stuff!...always so comforting that we are in such great hands...thanks! What a great service to have you here answering questions.

Only disappointment is that my chosen graemlin (classic sun glasses only, no bubble, no fireworks) didn't make the cut...   I guess he thought he was a recruited walk on! Oh well, as they say at some point (Hs or Hall of Fame) the journey ends for all...

Thanks again for your efforts and care!

trojan-skipper,

The cute puppy is Dodger. He's now a full grown 2-year-old lying next to my feet, but that photo is from the day we brought him home for the first time. When we went to pick him up my husband John said to him "you don't know it yet, but you just won the lottery". I'd have to agree with hubby... he is a very spoiled and sweet boy 11 months of the year, and a fearless hunting dog the other month.

A couple months later Dodger acquired a little sister, Luli the shih tzu. Empty nesters do crazy things!
