Of course I am...guess you could not see the sarcastic smile on my face.

11sdad, we are just scrimmaging you guys down in hachie, but we are also going to the Lubbock Tournament so maybe we'll run into you guys up there! Us, take it easy on Mighty Martin...why we just hope to be in the game against you guys!

Yeah, but I remember your top 4 pitchers...that beast of a RF...SS, CF, and 2 of your catchers are back. Plus, Martin does not rebuild, they reload! You guys will run away with 8-5A. I'll tell you this, we'd both better be ready or Hachie will embarass us in that scrimmage. They are loaded!!!

We only lost our 8,9 hole hitters. Our best 2 pitchers are back, though one of them did not throw but a handful of innings last year due to his shoulder. We have had a great fall on and off the field. Hopefully we can keep everyone healthy during the season and have some fun!
Nice to have the "problems" you have FD -- OH NO, YOU LOST YOUR 8,9 HOLE HITTERS!!! It will take coaching genius to fill those spots. Big Grin Of course I recognized your sarcasm.....it sounds like you guys will be strong. How does the district stack up? I hope everyone knows that I am not taking shots at his '07 lineup -- and sad that we're in the "add the disclaimer" day and age.

11sdad is a sandbagger! Cool

East returns their middle infielders and the 3B....poor East....we'll be lucky to make the playoffs. Wink

Beast, if the sophomore makes varsity he will play some 3rd but im not sure how much mound time he will see.

funneldrill, we do have 4 pitchers coming back but none of the 4 are anywhere near 90 so we still have to score lots of runs to stay in games.

PD, im no sandbagger! Smile I think thats the pot calling the kettle black.

I'd say that based on who has what coming back and how they did last year, Paschal has to be the favorite in our district. After that, it will be a dogfight! I do like Weatherford's pitching staff. Now if they can keep those kids from "moving" to Brock. Wait, that would help us...yeah, that Coach Massey at Brock does a grrrrrrreat job! Wink

Yes I had to leave Coppell. The 2 1/2 hours I was spending on the road each day was killing not just me, but my family as well. If it were not for the drive, I would have stayed there as long as they would have kept me around. I can't say enough good things about Coach English and Coach Hernandez. Top quality guys and an awesome program.

I'm starting up the baseball program at McKinney Christian Academy this year. 10 minute commute is nice and probably the best things are: 1) I get to see my family more. That boy of mine is throwing 95 from the left side as a 2 year old. I see some nice negotiations coming in the future...and 2) I get to bring my twin 5 year old girls to school everyday! I've never had the opportunity to be a part of that since I've been coaching and teaching in other cities. It's a true blessing. Not to mention my bride LOVES the new set up!

With that being said, if anyone is interested in finding out more about MCA, just check out www.mckinneychristian.org Sorry, I just HAD to plug the school. clapping

Awwww! 50 days and I can already smell the grass and wet dirt. It feels like a month of Sundays since I've heard the leather strike the ol' hickory and the sweet tunes of humming seams. In this being said, I would like to toss a type of inquiry out in the deep blue ocean of this interweb chat....

What ball clubs(and/or ballplayers) do you think will really sock it to em' and put and few tallies on the blackboard?

Which ball clubs(and/or ballplayers) do you think will make some hitters look like a bunch of flappa gals a little loopy on too much gin?

Until we chew the fat again,

22 days until first day of "organized" workouts.

Coaches go to Waco next week for the THSBCA annual convention and clinic. Top speakers are Mississippi State Head Coach Ron Polk and of course Roger Clemens and that media circus! Can't wait to be a part of that!!!

Oh, and you can take this to the bank, on Friday, January 25 the weather will be 40 degrees with a light rain. Wink
Keller Dad,

Do you mean Dallas First Baptist? Because they did get a few in there, one of them came from my district. I really liked that kid, but from what I understand, I appreciated him more than his own coach did.

If it is a better situation for the kid, then I wish him the best of luck. I know it weakened his old school which is good for my ball club.

Keller
Plano East
Rowlett
Rockwall
SL Carroll

Well going back to this.
I think that is fairly accurate but it's missing 2 teams. First team is Wylie. Also, I think Plano is just as good as Plano East so you cant count them out too. Sorry PD, I know you don't think Plano should be, right now atleast, but that's just what I think.
Plano deserves as much preseason hype as the other 9-5A schools. I'm not sure where you picked up the idea that I throw the Wildcats in with the bottom half. Plano may win the district.....Wylie may win state....who knows? It will be a competitive season. Time will tell. Certainly you would agree that the list is missing Arlington Martin and Plano West....right? West is ranked in the top 20 in most early state polls. I've already mentioned -- more times than anyone wants to read -- that East will find out about themselves when the pitchers are in shape.

Eastsidefan19,
I think you need to tap the brakes just a little. As you remember, I had picked Plano to do well also, but you need to understand prognostication has a lot to do with returning, proven players. You have put LS (don't want to mention names) as being as good or better than Nick Thomas, woe there big fella. Nick was a stud and a half and although LS might end up there, he has no skins on the wall. Plano has a great new coach and the chance to be pretty darn good, but varsity baseball has far more pressure than summer ball, thus these newbies will need to prove themselves under the bright lights. JMO.
first off I hope I didnt make yall upset or anything.

Bring it- I COMPLETELY agree with what you're saying about LS. There is no question that even he hasnt proven really anything. All I'm getting at, is that I have seen those two kids throw back to back this summer and I was impressed. I saw the same pitcher but with a different number. Same arm, and same body type. Please don't get me wrong, LS still has to show everyone but I think he will do a good job impressing yall... I hope. Wink

But anyways, I hope we are all on the same page because I really do agree with all yall are saying. I hope nothing I said upset yall or anything.
