The great run this week is over for the DBAT Mustang 17U team.

ABA beat us 2-0 to advance to play the Tigers 18U for the trip to Farmington. I heard it's 5-1 Tigers in the 6th right now. The Tigers are a very physical and talented team.

I enjoyed the week with the boys. The experience they got from this week will be huge as they progress as players. They have bought into the system and have really become a team.

I would not recommend this tournament in regards to the tournament staff. Very poor organization and questionable tournament structure.

Collectively, the teams were as good as I've seen. Top notch polished players and well coached teams here.

Congrats to all teams who participated and the eventual winner.

Ready to get home and see my boy.

Way to go Tigers!!

We played some tough competition throughout the week, but Dbat 17U had to be the best. The pitcher as stated earlier was at 94-95 all night, with extraordinary control and composure. They also had another young fellow from FM that can swing the bat, and was responsible for scoring or knocking in all of their runs. These guys may give Sam's 18U(fancy stripe down their pants) a run for their money in the qualifier in July. DBAT is a great organization with obviously some great players.

Tigers had a slugfest in almost every game, I couldn't tell that it was wooden bats for most of it, way to go Ketty, Chaser, BoBo, Speed Demon and the rest of the ragged bunch. Tigers played as a team the whole tournament, every run scratched out or pitch thrown, we had to depend on each other. One of the coaches said he had never had a team have so much fun as this group, it was fun and will be even MORE fun in August---FARMINGTON HERE WE COME!!! Great win for the organization and well deserved by some great coaches like Heath Autrey and Tommy Hernandez.
Congrats to the Tigers, though I personally wish KG's bunch would have pulled it out! Sounds like it was a wonderful tournament competition wise, but again was poorly run by the Firebirds homers.

little Bundy is 2-0 against that same Tigers team in his D-BAT career. 96mph for a 2011 is ridiculous, and we all know he has a devastating breaking ball. What's interesting about that D-BAT Mustangs team is that a good core of that group is 2011 grads.
