Thanks for all the prayers. Surgery went well last night...will be out for at least a month, possibly for the rest of the season. Hoping he'll get back to it for playoffs! @socalscooter...i think you know who it was...yes he was throwing a beauty.

Prayers for his speedy recovery - as a former pitcher's mom, I think this danger is often on our minds.

justbaseball's son endured a similar incident as a high-profile college pitcher and is now pitching at the pro level. You might want to reach out to him for thoughts for your friend and your friend's son.

Dont know him personally but know of him.Hopefully he will be 100% and able to play when we face them in May.As a pitchers father first and foremost I always pray for a safe outing.Happy the surgery went well and will keep him in our prayers.

We had one of those on our team. It ended well, but only after season ending surgery.

I prey this young man's outcome is better!
