Cody Moffett, JR, LHP University of Arizona

Major: Chemical Engineering

HT: 6'4" Although I last measured at 6'3 5/8" five years ago, some say it's closer to 6'3" now. I don't know how a 20YO shrinks, maybe measurement error?

WGHT: Depends on when he last ate/pooped, let's say somewhere around 225 as an average. Feed him well and he'll keep showing up, weight will go up. Send him to Tucson and it seems to go down. I don't know why. Perhaps strength and conditioning down there is more intense than lawn mowing at home

4 seam: somewhere between mid 80's and low 90's, depends on the day

2 seam: last seen in 12U but made a come back this summer on the Cape, topped at 92ish but high 80's most of the time

Cutter: 67-77, can throw at many different speeds. This pitch has been called a slurve, curve, slider and cutter all by that Burns guy on the Pac-12 network in the same inning when he threw it exactly four times. Go figure

CU: Last seen in fall of HS SR year, but making a come back this fall with the new college ball, "which is much easier for me to throw a change"

CB: Last seen as Soph in HS, but it was good. Recently, it has been frequently confused with slow cutter - only he knows the difference, rumor is it appeared briefly on the Cape, but we don't know for sure. Some kind of conspiracy.

Splitter: Last seen in 13U, but making a come back if the change up doesn't work out

Summer teams:

2013 - Alaska Goldpanners

2014 - Orleans Firebirds

Hobbies include reading the dictionary (from his biograhpy on U of A's web site, I think he lost a bet), he also is a pationate bird watcher but will never admit it.
