I guess you could say Rowlett wins the tournament with the best record in the tournament. There was no championship game. Really bad format if you ask me but we'll take it. Thank you Flower mound for being great hosts.

Congrats Blake...a standout in football and baseball! SMU is lucky to get this outstanding young man for football.

Congrats Bo, Riley, and Reid...I knew you guys were special back in LL ... even before the Apache/Sea Dogs days... clapping

Congrats Brett Johnson - nice honor!

Congratulations to the Hawks for their tournament win and to Ryan for his performance. Hawkman, I thought your team would be solid when we scrimmaged. Good luck into district play.

Kyle Duncan did pitch an awesome game. He has signed with Hill College but may improve on that.

Your pitcher was very impressive and is an equally impressive young man as I spoke with him after the game. As I told him, it was one of those games that he pitched much better than the results for his effort and your fine Ryan team. He is the best CV Heritage has faced this year (including Walker Kelly - who did not have his "A" game but was still incredible). And not to slight Zak Hermans (Coppell) who certainly is a top pitcher in the area - someone to watch. Tell me his name again as I'll track his and Ryan's season as I'd expect both to be headliners this year.
A hitting performance from Saturday worthy of note...Dallas Christian senior Aaron McCain jacked three 2-run bombs vs. Grand Prairie, in the Chargers' 8-6 win.

In his first varsity start ever, soph Ryan Downs got his first victory with a 5.2, 2 er, solid performance.

The Chargers won their 2nd two games of the tourney, now 3-2 overall.

Thank you Expo. The day we talked I had no idea what we had on the field. It may still be a battle for us all season, but at least I know now that we have enough to compete day in and day out. Got a ways to go to get to the level of a Heritage, but just competing will make my season.

Tycho: Just got caught up on the linescores today that I had missed the last three days. One in particular caught my eye. A certain lefthanded-hitting outfielder/pitcher (and sometimes catcher) had in one game what it would take Hawk son half a season to achieve.

All I can say is WOW! Very, very impressive.

On another note, forecast not looking good for tomorrow night.

Impressive? I'd say lucky. Smile

I hear Wednesday if tomorrow night's weather is too bad.
