Tie ball games

Was at a J.V. game on Wed. with the score tied at the end 7 the game was called because the umpires stated that TASO does not allow them to call extra innings in J.V. games There was still enough daylight left and both teams wanted to keep playing.Has anyone heard of this before.

Maybe i should post this in the umpire forum!!!

I called TASO and the only time a game (JV, Freshman) will not be played out is if there is a varsity game scheduled after the completion of that game or both coaches have agreed not to continue. Not having lights can also come into play. Bottom line is if there was daylight-they should have played till there wasn't. Ump was seen in the parking lot changing into a s****r ref. uniform. True story. TASO is not happy and there will be a followup.
