bulldog how do youthat statement without knowing the individuals?
My comment was a general statement. Most pitching coaches don't know the first thing about the body and how it works. That's what strength and conditioning coaches and athletic trainers are for.
I WILL KEEP MY GUYS THANK YOU

I did read it. Most of them don't know the first thing about the body though!
TR,
Bulldog is right, very good point, pitching coaches leave the strength training/conditioning to the guys who get paid to do it.
If you have nothing to add to the OP's original post why did you post information that is old and outdated (something that happened most likely well over 10 years ago). It's been a very long time since DK was in HS, and there is NO WAY that they did back then what they do NOW.
unlike you tpm I-personally and actually experience thru our players every year what is happening on the hs and college baseball scene---and I ASK YOU AS WELL HOw KNOW WHAT MY COACHES KNOW OR DONT KNOW?in addition having been in physical therapy for the past 13 monthsI havebeen able to pick a lot of brains--one of my therapists is a college prof as well so Iam getting 'real' answers to my questions not 'opinions'

So what are your trying to say, that you are getting real info from PT's about pitching?
PT's rehab pitchers, they generally don't train/condition them, those that do, really know what they are talking about.
What does a PT being a college prof have to do with baseball, does that PT train pitchers?
I don't know, you tell me what your coaches know as far as what is important and what is not and how do they determine what needs to be worked on?
Does long tossing and running long distance and working with 2-5 pound weights really help a pitcher who may have a weak hip, or a weak ankle, or weak hamstring or a weak elbow?
Since you are picking those brains what have you learned? Care to share?
