Winthrop's 2011 Early Signing Class

Congratulations to Head Coach Tom Riginos' first early signing class!

He's really raised the bar with this program and is confident to have the Eagles on track to get back on top in the Big South and begin competing with Coastal Carolina as the dominant force in this conference. We were excited when our son chose Winthrop over several others and then held our breath after the firing of the head coach and during the search for a replacement. We are even more excited with the selection of Coach Riginos to lead this program with what he brings to it. The future for this team and its recruits looks bright indeed. It'll be nice to have a recruiting presence in Florida as well with both Riginos and Coach Chrysler's connections. Go Eagles!

I know our son (Patrick McLendon) is very excited about being in Coach Riginos' 1st signing class as a head coach. Now I just need American Airlines to schedule some direct flights between DFW and Rock Hill. Go Eagles!

Good news! American has direct flights to Charlotte! Although USAir is probably cheaper since Charlotte (CLT) is their hub! See you at the park!

We're originally from Columbia, SC and still have some family there so I'm sure we'll be using all 3 of the closest airports (Charlotte, Greenville/Spartanburg and Columbia). Southwest just started flying between GSP and Dallas Love Field so maybe the fares will come down some.
