Wow mood! Maybe you ought to talk the concession stand bunch into ordering up a lot of those mini-marshmallows after all! You guys will be drawing a crowd!

Congratulations to the team...that's an accomplishment against a tough foe!

Explanation? Wasn't it reported that the quake off Japan's coast tilted the earth on its axis just very slightly? Well? Here's an after effect: GB East sweeping DG North!

Macomb 15
Beardstown 3
5 innings

Macomb record 4 - 1. The boys are in the middle of a week with 7 games scheduled in 6 days. Headed to Abingdon tonight.

In our area, Illini West opens season with a 4 - 0 record and Monmouth-Roseville also opens with 4 - 0 record. The weather is getting better with each passing day.

Well I've been accused off being slightly tilted off my axis

We'll take it Woody! I'm gonna credit the leftover vibes from the Basketball trip to the final 4 last weekend in Peoria !!

We'll see how they stack up against #7 Plainfield North this afternoon.
Maine West FRESHMAN 6
Rolling Meadows FRESHMAN 5

Not that many people care ... but the kids have been working hard and those kids are the future of HS baseball!

There were so many things I was taking notes on that we needed to work on that at one point I forgot what the score was ... after all it is about teaching them at that level, wins and losses are secondary to development!

I threw 3 pitchers during the game with my starter going 3 and 52 pitches. The next two guys threw 2 each and 26 and 43 pitches respectively.

One of the players I work with in the off-season (another freshman) threw 6 innings and 96 pitches (in 37 degree weather) - SOME OF THESE COACHES ARE OUT OF THEIR MIND.
.

Congratulations to Josh! What a feeling he must have had to pitch a gem like that?

The only thing I've ever pitched that could even be considered close to his accomplishment is this...

...and even they weren't close. They were ringers!

And afterward you should have seen my horse, Jackson! We thanked him for his generous contribution to the game and then we nicknamed him "Shoeless Toe" Jackson.

None of this clip clopping for him anymore. Now it's: "Hi Ho! Tip Toe! Away!"

Josh

CSG,
My son's school never schedules any local games over spring break and every two or three years they head down to Florida during that time. The team is there right now and I'm sure making memories to last a life time. They will get their conference games in and from the looks of the local forcast many games will be rescheduled anyway.
Lake Park is currently 3-2 after our spring break. Lost 10-4 to Prospect, 13-1 against Schaumburg. Beat Glenbard North 11-8 and Glenbard East 5-2 and 2-1. We have played much better over the past three games. Much improved defense and our pitchers are throwing strikes. What a concept.

We had 11 errors in the first two games and only two in the last three.

You picked a fine time to get on track DC !! Those were a couple good games on Saturday against our GE Rams. Good pitching on a blustery day. Turner knows he got a gift walk in the 3rd in the first game. But credit to you guys for stepping up with four runs after two outs against Mood Jr.

GE needs to get their heads in the game at the plate. Too many strikes into the catchers glove without a swing.

And your shortstop is a stud in the field. Keep up the good work.
Thanks DC. I was happy with Patrick's job on the mound especially considering it was his first start after a long exhausting but awesome basketball season.

Nick T is lightning quick. He and Patrick play together for the Seminoles so I had to give him a hard time. When he laid that bunt down and I saw the GE pitcher non chalant it I knew it was a hit.

Good luck to you guys the rest of the way.

And Maui....you're welcome for the BP and practice games the last few years Big Grin I think we might give you guys a little more effort this year. We'll see you at the end of the month
Naperville Central 6
Joliet Catholic 2

WP- Lewandowski, who goes to 3-0 and has only given up 2 earned runs in 13 innings

The team plays well when Lewandoski and Ludwig pitch, they will have to figure out that these two cannot pitch every inning.

The big test will be Thursday night (if it doesn't rain) when the lefty goes against Providence.
