Don't look now....but Glenbard East is startin' to come to life. Just took their last three against the top of the DVC.

Patrick Walsh throws a four hit, 8K gem against Naperville Central in a 2-1 win on Friday and adds a home run to boot.

GE actually managed to get runners in scoring position home on Saturday sweeping a DH from Glenbard North 8-7 and 7-1. GE is now 5-4 in the DuPage Valley Conference and 8-10 overall. They've doubled their win output from all of last season !! Go Rams !

Kinda expected the Panthers to be out for blood after dropping the DH on Saturday. Their starter was firing on all cylinders. Good job.

This weather and make up schedule is taking it's toll on the pitching squads. 9 games in 8 days. Pretty tough on a squad that really has only three or four quality starters.

Not sure about the rest of the conference's but the msl has many make up games so I guess we will see who has continued to develop pitcher nuber 3 and 4 as all the games get compressed together. Should make an interesting finish.

Belmonte will be playing his college ball at North Park University. Warble I heard is headed to
UW-Whitewater. Tough year for Conant Baseball.

8 home runs in 1 game!! I dont think my sons team has hit that many all year.

Palatine 14 Barrington 12 Palatine hit 4 homeruns in a 10 run 5th, 2 by Kurt Becker,Vince Portera a grand slam, and 2 run homer by Dan Haze. Barrington came back with 7 in the in the last 2 innings and Becker came in in the 7th with the bags loaded and got 2 strike outs to sve the game. John O'Connel homered for Barrington.

The lousy, wet weather this season was tough on everyone. Fortunately the drizzle didn't dampen your mascot's spirit. "Crusader the Cat" took it all in stride...he even dipped into the tarp fund for some relief!

I wasn't able to take many elective courses in college, so although they were high on my list, Introduction to Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science 101 escaped me. I'm clueless as to whether Crusader the Cat is a little boy or a little girl. With all that wigglin' I don't see anything jigglin'!
