I truly do not think it will matter who Cox plays. I believe Menchville is the best they will see. Granted they didn’t start their ace but Jharel Cotton’s is one hell of a pitcher. If Cox plays the way they did in the Regional championship game it’s their state championship to lose. They have 2 aces on the hill and Chase to close who could be an ace on most other staffs. The bats are picking up and Kyle Profilet has at some key AB’s and has delivered for Cox. Plus we have the beach player the year “Chris Taylor” his numbers speak volumes for what type of athlete he is. I would put Cox up against any team in the state.

Good job Chase on the hill last night great pitching vs a great team and some great AB’s to complement your first win of the year.
I appologize for Localbaseball's over the top statements...must be a new "fan". Cox lost 5 games this year and is well aware how tough the teams are throughout the state. Anyone can be beaten in this crazy game...especially when you get down to the final 8 teams. Well deserved congratulations are in order for ALL teams still playing at this time in the season. Its no fluke that they are still here and any one of them can bring home the crown
titanstonight, Hey listen here sounds like to me that you are suffering from complete and utter frustration of some form or another. I have a life.... My job requires me to work nights. Do you have a job? Hey, I think I have rattled the NOVA fans............................................ Chaos, panic, & disorder -- my work here is done. See you in the Finals......................
Have any of you from the Central or East regions seen any of the NR teams play this year? Do you know anything about them? If not, then perhaps saying that the NR teams will have a hard time matching up is getting a little ahead of the game...

Oh, and BTW, Cox and Menchville open the states against the NW region, not the Northern region. So if they make it through the quarters (both Battlefield and Stafford from the NW region are playing great ball right now), they won't see the NR's best until the state semis anyway. And THEN we can talk...

Battlefield starts 3 freshman in the infield(due to injuries)and it finally caught up to them last game. Stafford has a nice group. WS will be in a tough matchup against a D1 pitcher going to UNC. Even though they are capable, I don't think they're swinging it well enough to score enough runs. Wahl needs to throw as hard as he did earlier in the year if they're going to win. LB only has a chance if Derner's on otherwise they'll get killed again. Menchville is loaded(and were ranked #1 in the nation earlier in the year). Hanover is ranked #1 in Virginia just ahead on Cox, I think that will be the final. Good Luck Patriot!!
