Anyhooo, Day two was fairly good. Would like to see more whack jobs smacking the camera on their way out though.

It saddens me terribly that there is a thread entitled "American Idol Season 11" on my favorite Baseball Message Board in the world, and some of my favorite posters of all time are contributing to it!

So it only took 11 seasons to be bumped up to the big board. Steven Tyler is hilarious and while I'm with you guys it's edited to create "drama" I still bet that Magrane still wasn't a happy camper.

I love the IDOL thread, but we usually get complaints when a thread like this is started on the main board. Hence, that is why we usually run it in a little-used forum like the Ohio forum, for example. If people don't mind, I'd like to move this thread to the Ohio forum. I'll leave the thread here for a few days so people can see that we moved it. Thanks...

Dude, I have the worst voice ever! I'm forbidden from singing at home, shower or church. The only time I can get away with singing is in the car.....in the car I'm an American Idol STAR rocking on I-95 north!

There was an Asian guy the other night who had a very nice voice. I have not seen too many auditions thus far.

The Asian guy did have a very surprising voice. However, because of his native language, he had trouble pronouncing the English words. I wonder how far he can go like that?

If you consider the kind of singer Tyler is (not one of the Irish Tenors) then he was actually pretty good. And contrary to the stupid article, he did screw up one line.

I agree that when you consider the type of singer he is and the sound he's had to make him a HOF singer he did pretty well. What line did he mess up? I didn't catch it ..

Is it me or are they spending more time on commercials than the actual show?

Minor, but it shows these Yahoo yahoos have nothing to write about day to day so they make their own stories.

He has some great one liners though. The four hours of make up to listen to this had me cracking up.

Kinda weird this year. The shows seem to fly by, they show one contestant then go to a commercial that lasts longer than the audition.

It appears they are passing through many qualified candidates. I guess we won't really get a sense of what's going on until they get them all to Hollywood.

I thought the same thing. A couple of humdingers though. And a good dose of crazies from my home state of Texas.

One thing I really like about AI is that my son and I watch together. Last night we replayed 2 episodes he had missed because of studying. Anything that gets us sharing time together is good in by book!

All the Steven Tylerisms from last night got bleeped out! I'm anxious to get to Hollywood because I think a couple of the girls they passed through last night were awful.

The first blonde girl with the stupid hat and glasses and the last girl with the boyfriend who had a stroke. Sweet story but I didn't like the way she sang.

Sang? Sung? Singed?

I say go with sanged. This way it's doubley past tense just to make sure people know it happened in the past.

I fell asleep last night and missed the show so I have no idea what happened. I can't wait for Hollywood because these first few shows haven't been that interesting. Yeah we've heard some good singers but it just doesn't seem to be as entertaining (other than what Steven Tyler says) as previous seasons. Definitely no "Pants on the Ground" moments this year so far or the Asian guy who couldn't sing a lick.

I am not sure but I think that idol has lost some luster, this pre season stuff has been really BORING!!!!! Bad scripting.

I will be happier when they whittle down the field so they have time to actually listen to them sing.

However, how about that Korean guy last night? They did a nice job of setting up how nervous he was.

Then he comes out and floors the judges. That was kinda fun to watch.

I actually enjoyed the first group night show. Starting to get a feel for who's still there, some personalities and some abilities.

There were a couple of groups that sounded really good in the lobby. Hope it translates next week.

The Korean kid is funny, he made the show last night! It's interesting that they've also focused on the Stage Mom's/Dad's this season...I guess it's the equivalent of our "Daddy-Ballers"?

Hey, the finals of the group event were fun to watch. Starting to find some people I'm looking foward to watching perform over the next few weeks.

The Korean dude is still killing me. I think I'm off the Steven Tylerisms and onto Hee Junisms.

I quickly grew tired of the fainting and was sure that Reed Grimm was going to quit when he asked to call his mom. Then he jumps on the drums and kills it!

BUT and I can't stress this enough...this show will never make it without the NBA dancer girl.

I'm just sayin'.

Enjoyed watching last night, but agree the fainting got old. I enjoy the dysfunction of group night and have to admit to laughing coldheartedly at all the forgotten lyrics. I really like the person singing "I blew my chance because I can't remember the lyrics."

Didn't see the drum thing coming.
