LOL, that is the only song my wife chose to download after weeks of listening. I have to agree with Steven Tyler, put on a set of headphones and get lost in that one. Outstanding.
Volcano was the first time I "got" P2. It was a great performance. Although I might pay to download the song, I'm not ready to say I'd shell out the bucks for a concert ticket. I've seen Dave Mathews in concert and he bored me silly, and until last night, P2 reminded me of that concert. However, I'm still open to being impressed some more.

Looking forward to next week's show!

Might have been close but

1. Joshua
2. Jessica
3. Phillip

Totally disappointed in Jessica's version of the Aerosmith song. Was really looking forward to hearing Phillip sing Bob Seger but it fell a little flat for me.

I enjoyed Jessica's version of the Jackson 5 song and while it's not my style of music, I enjoy watching Joshua belt it out, tearing off his jacket. He seems like the biggest entertainer of the three.

However, I think the voting will be:

1. Joshua
2. Phillip
3. Jessica

I didn't find any of the performances to be "wow" performances. Maybe my expectations were too high.

Once again P2 left me flat. It sounds like he sings the same 5 notes over and over again. just in different songs. I do enjoy his guitar playing.

Here's how I rate them.

Joshua is the best performer.
Jessica is the best technical singer.
P2 is the best candidate for teenybopper posters.

No idea who will go home tonight.

I'd say this, you hit the nail on the head when you say Josh is the biggest entertainer. He get's it. But in terms of originality I still will follow Phillip long after the other two. But I'm an AltRock guy so clearly that is where my bias is.

Having said that, you may have the order right but I'm thinking the show would 'prefer' to have a male and a female in the final and that will come down to Josh and Jessica.

P2 is far from done in this business though.
Before last night, I would have counted Phillip out. However, I think the trip home helped him tremendously. He showed some emotion that had been missing and appeared to be a real genuine person. I felt the same way for Joshua during his return home segment. Unfortunately I didn't feel the same for Jessica, but I'm still a fan.

I agree with twotex on 2 of 3........

Joshua is the Best Performer.

Jessica has the Best Technical Voice.

As for teeny boppers buying Phillip's poster, possibly? But out of these three, I'd buy Phillip's CD before the other two, but then again...I'm also a Dave Matthews Band fan.
I was happy that P2 ended up winning. I was a big fan of Jessica's early on (great voice and she lives in my backyard here in So Cal), but I'd honestly buy one of Phillips CD's before her's.

The show last night was okay, I too enjoyed P2 singing with John Fogarty. Skylar's song with Reba was fun to watch. The duet with Jessica and Jennifer Holliday was entertaining, but I don't know how Jessica was able to sing with Ms. Holliday without laughing at her facial expressions? The singing of the Phone Book was funny, especially when Joshua took over...and of course it was good to see that Joe Perry was willing to go on stage and we were able to take in some Aerosmith! I'm a little disappointed that Carrie Underwood was in the crowd, yet she didn't perform...I would have rather heard her sing instead of Rhianna and J-Lo...not that they were bad to look at. Big Grin

Now my wife is trying to talk me into watching X-Factor with her. I'm not going to allow her to pull me into another show that drags me away from my sports schedule...I Can't Let It Happen!
