Brentsville is 1-7 there school was ripped in half by patriot high when it was built, Brentsville went from having roughly 1800 kids to having around 900 kids. Best of luck to them.
Doubleheader action - King George vs Brooke Point
1)Game 1 - King George 10 Brooke Point 0 (5 innings). Damion Carroll pitched a perfect game - no hits, no walks and 11 K's.
2) Game 2 - King George 11 Brooke Point 1 (5 innings). Damian Carroll crushed a lead off HR to lead KG to a non-district win. KG scored 3 runs in the 1st, 3 runs in the 2nd, 3 runs in the 4th and two runs in the 5th to end the game. Dylan Dombrowskas was 3 for 3 and Damian Carroll drove 3 runs in what may have been an Inside-the-Park-HR on a routine grounder backup the middle in the 4th inning. - I'm not sure if the CF ever touched the ball or not. Dustin Phillips pitched 3 solid innings only giving up 1 unearned run. Lex Estes closed the final two innings allowing no runs.

Does anyone have the score for Courtland vs James Monroe game?
Wow a three way tie for first place....King George beat Spotsy, Caroline beat King George and Spotsy beat Caroline. All of them at 4-1.
Does anyone know why Damion did not pitch against Caroline last night?

I heard Damian had a planned family vacation that is why he was not there. But can't really verify that. Does anyone know why we haven't heard anything on Pico from caroline, or the Jeter kid who transfered from KG to caroline and now isn't with caroline or is he and just not playing??? just curious.
Right Arm of Zeus I sent you a PM.

Yes, Damian & family were visiting a JUCO in Texas that is offering a full scholarship. He was due in late Tuesday night and was not expected to be available for the game.
I have no information on Pico.
Jeter - heard last night he quit the team as the coach demands the players have short hair and Jeter refused to cut his locks. At least, that's what I heard. Pretty sad to see him go through all the motions of transfering only to quit.
I'm sure the outcome would have been different had Damian beeen available. Not sure he would have pitched after going 5 innings against Brooke Point on Friday. The officiating during last night's game was horrible. Worst I've seen in quite a few years.
Courtland 21, James Monroe 0, was the final score for tuesday game.

Culpeper's district record should be 2-4.
The KG vs Chancellor game will probably be at Chancellor. The first meeting was scheduled to be at Chancellor, the venue was changed to KG due to field conditions at that time. Will have to confirm.
ADDENDUM: Checked with the AD this evening. It is scheduled to be at Chancellor, however, with rain in the forecast for Thursday evening and Chancellor's field not holding up to water very well, it may get moved to KG.

I am not sure where it was missed originally, but Caroline is actually 9-2 overall. There was a game unreported somewhere or at some point.
Wonder what game that was? It has to be a non-district game that was played early and never reported in the press or posted here. Even so, it won't matter for the district standings.
As for the KG/Chancellor game, the Free-Lance Star was incorrect. Yes, KG did win but Dombrowskas did not have 2 hits. He was 1 for 4 with an RBI double in the 3rd to put KG up 2-0 at the time. Jordan Estes smacked an RBI single in the 2nd for a 1-0 KG lead. Estes also scored on a wild pitch in the 4th to give KG a 3-1 lead after Chancellor scored in the 3rd.
Chancellor squandered an opportunity to score in the 2nd with bases loaded and one out. A infield grounder thrown home for the force recorded the 2nd out followed by a strikeout. Ultimately I recall the Charges left 8-9 runners on base. KG left 4-5 on base. KG had two on in the 6th with one out, but was unable to capitalize with the KG batters unable to get a base hit.
Overall, a very good competitive game. A nail biter to the last out.

Chancellor left 10 runners on base and King George left 5. Chris Barlow in the 6th inning just missed hitting a home run to dead center with 2 runners on off Damian, but it was caught at the warning track.
Definitely a good game between both teams. The players on Chancellor are playing with a lot more confidence in the last few games and should have a strong team next year. They will be only losing one player from this year's squad and getting 3 varsity players back who were not playing this year.

Barlow's deep hit had the KG side holding their collective breath. Based on Chancellor's last few games no upcoming opponent should take them lightly. They are playing well, just not getting the results to show it. Caroline and Spotsylvania should not take them lightly.
Updated records, Spotsy is 9-5 overall 6-2 in district. Lost to liberty twice, chancellor, Atl. Shores christian and KG.
Does anyone have any rainouts yet?

KG at EV postponed until Wednesday 4:45 pm due to field conditions (???). Apparently Culpeper was drenched with early morning rains - was a very nice for the rest of the day with temps above 80 F. KG had early AM rains but apparently not near as bad.
Don't quite understand why it was postponed. From what I was told even the EV coach wanted to go ahead with the game but was over ruled by the AD. Our AD even offered to do a twin bill - the JV game first followed by the varsity game.

Damian's performance was off - only recording 7 K's. Several wild pitches in the dirt lead to a number of EV scores.
KG did not bring their A game and EV took advantage.

Caroline didn't just beat Chancellor 13 to 0 they humiliated them on there home field. I know there best player was out unfortunately do to an illness and hope he is feeling better. I am prepared to here all the excuses. But the way Chancellor reacted when players were stealing and when the ball was put into play was unbelievable. One good note was when one of Chancellors outfielders made a beautiful diving catch for an out. I saw the team had to run poles afterwards for awhile they may still be running all I know.
Just a thought ran through my mind as I was reading back through the previous post and individuals posting how many K's pitchers had in a game. Is it how good the pitching is or how poor the batting is in this district? Just a thought.

I was going to say something back to you Cavsfan for being a little harsh, but I guess you are right. The truth is the truth. I was at that game last night and left in the 4th because it was such a poor showing by Chancellor Varsity Team. At first I was thinking maybe the JV and Varsity Teams switched venues. Not to take anything away from Caroline now, Rory Smith was burning it in there and Caroline's bats were alive. Caroline exposed and took advantage of every day dreaming flat footed fielder and arms that couldn't get the ball to its intended target.
