BA's concept of prospect is usually different than that of the average fan. For pitchers, size and velocity are the key factors and if they have to talk about a pitcher that
knows how to win without the 6'7" stature or the 95 mph fastball, they have to use qualifying expressions like "You can't argue with results ..."
It is really interesting to see who they consider prospects and who they don't consider prospects. If a pitcher (only position I can relate to

) doesn't fit their stereotype but does well, they will occasionally report on his outings
if he is doing well and drop him off their "watch list" if he is struggling. A pitcher that fits
their concept of a true prospect, whether doing well or not, gets their attention
all the time whethe he is performing well or not. JMO(bservations)
