this run by uva could signal a begining for that program to really get the pick of the state with regard to recruiting talent in the old dominion.

james madison made it back in early 80s as the last va. team in omaha. vcu made some waves and nearly qualified about 7 years ago.

i quite frankly believe that uva might very well make a run similar to what unc has been doing these past four years.

funny how pitching and defense can get it done as the main formula

good luck cavaliers
Being betrothed to a conference rival, I hate to say it, but I don't see how UVA could recruit much better than what they have. And I don't know that winning in Omaha could do much more for them than what has been accomplished already in beating Strasburg, Cal-Irvine, and now Ole Miss.

I will say a special congratulations is in order for Tyler Wilson, winning pitcher in the most important game (so far) in the history of the program. Tyler went to Midlothian HS in the Dominion District, class of 2007. And a year from now he'll have a big decision to make, would be my guess.
Coach O'Connor, Kuhn and McMillan are "total class" --- and they appear to recruit players in terms of talent but also in consideration of team chemistry --- The baseball players at UVA are typically very humble, quiet and hard working.....As a parent whose kid plays on the team --- I could not be happier with our son's decision. Not to mention, their facilities and overall education offered is top rate.
