Fall Teams | High School Baseball Web

Hello everyone! I'm a new guy around here. Y'all have a fantastic site full of information. I especially like this Texas Forum. I've been lurking for a few weeks so I hope I am posting my questions in the correct forum

My son is going into 8th grade (I know this is a High School Web site but bear with me I would have posted this in the Pre-High School forum but this is specifically about the DFW area) in the fall. He was affected by the age change this past year in USSSA ball. Now all his team mates are headed off to High School leaving him without a team for the fall and next summer. He still qualifies as a 14U. This summer he played on the Birdville HS team as a guest since a few of his friends are going to school there, that's how I found this web site, from a parent. Anyway, he's looking for a quality team to play with in the fall and next summer. We live in North Richland Hills so something close would be great (how do you define close around here, huh?) but we would travel to some extent. He's a high quality catcher, has batted lead-off this year, has great stats, and is a real team player.

If anyone has any ideas we would appreciate it.

Hello stanwood,

If you son is still looking for a mid cities team, Fort Worth Drillers will be the team.

Coach Jerry Polk was a catcher during his professional career and practiced with the catchers when my son playing for his 14U team this past fall. He coaches the 14U team this coming spring and will have an open tryout in January.
