Dahl's not a very good writer, or maybe he was too busy getting ready to fly that he didn't get around to a final draft!
The article induced in me a burning desire to check the AFN listings for Planes, Trains and Automobiles. I love that movie. It really kickstarts the whole holiday season for me!

Now you all know why so many people prefer to drive, I do. More comfortable seating, all the snacks you can pack, along with no fee baggage.

I split my time between the two.

re: Dahl's writing skills....
He dropped out of HS in the 9th or 10th grade and probably missed a few english classes.
Anyway, he's mostly an "attitude" guy.

Steve Dahl used to coach Little League and Babe Ruth baseball in our neighborhood. The kids enjoyed playing for him. He actually loves the game and is a rock solid White Sox fan.
