In life there are spoons and there are forks.
My team consists of forks, we practiced today in our warmest jerseys in 90 degree heat, ran polls then 3 miles.

Your team has lounge chairs out in the field? Sounds like a bunch of spoons to me...I'd rather have the forks. Forks have to work much harder to reach goals.
I am hoping that most on my team turn out to be forks! In every aspect of their lives, not just on the field.

"Caught" a bullpen (OK, so I warmed him up and then gunned him throwing to a target.), hit fungoes, ran outfield drills (go out looking over one shoulder, turn and pick up ball thrown over other shoulder), threw BP, and went to the Dodgers/Pirates game but didn't get there early enough to try to talk to Zach. Hope that was enough practice for the weekend.

I certainly know I'm impressed, CADad, we'll all be expecting great things from you today. I'd say that makes you what TPM was describing as a "fork", but that still sounds strangely rude to me..... (I mean, I can stretch a metaphor until it screams for mercy, but forks & spoons?)


Me, after Friday's performance, I just lay down in a darkened room all weekend with a cool cloth over my eyes....

Given that I don't throw a fork ball I'm not too happy when someone calls me a forker!

Orlando, I witnessed this practice. They're looking fit overall. I didn't see any forks or spoons, maybe a ladle or two, but no forks or spoons! They're ready! Play ball!!!

I broke a fingernail on my last at bat and think I may have to go on the DL. I wonder if TR could go in for me at Catcher? I could continue to cheer for the team from the bench when I am not applying my new Corvette Red nail polish to cover the unfortunate fracture.

I do not wear nail polish so I am all set--nails are filed down as well
