I agree, with 75 degree weather and a Sunday evening Halloween we have had more trick or treaters than we have in the past 15 years. Probably 200, turned out lights by 7:15 because we were out of treats!
I was concerned that it would be a slow night, as I did not want to eat all the candy, luckily there were about 50 kids. Good thing I only bought one large bag this year. Last year I ate about half a bag!
awww, I was hoping the poll would be whether we like the Rocky Horror Picture Show which seems to have become a sort of 'rite of Halloween' across the land. I would have voted "Hate It!"
Can't stand it.
But anyway, we have had ZERO treaters at our house. On the base itself, Korean kids show up by the busload to swarm over the community getting candy. The guards don't check for ID with kids under age 13, so these kids just pour in. It's cool, on one hand, that they get to experience American trick-or-treating (not something they do in Korea), but on the other hand many of them don't even dress up and there are so many of them that sometimes the actual military family kids who live here get shut out of candy very quickly. It's a conundrum!

we had almost 200........ we love it..we have a fairly new development... flat streets, street lights...kids in the neighborhood....all adds up to a good halloween......
We had a grand total of 6 this year! More than we had the previous 9 years put together. We live in an area of fairly large lots (3 - 5 acres) and I think that's the reason. Plus, in our town most of the larger churches have an event called "Trunk or Treat". Lots of candy given out in a small area mostly by people you know.
"Another sign as to the world has changed in our region--it is a sad time."
I dunno' TR...considering they finished their trick-or-treating before the first pitch was thrown I would think all of the young'uns in your neck of the woods may be avid baseball fans. No?
Fun size... Always wondered who came up with that.
Had about 70. Mostly 8 and under, cute costumes no gory ones. As far as distribution goes my wife allows one per customer. I tell the little ones grab a handful and watch their eyes get real big... which uaually translates to two pieces. Tr keep the faith 2 years ago we had four kids one was smoking.
My wife did the usual and bought the "premium" treats, I kept sneaking out the back and rang our front door bell 5 times wearing different hats before I was caught.
