I think it is 500. And you might not realize it but many of the really old 'old timers' had their # of posts reduced significantly after a major revamp on the site ... for some, the number was reduced by as much as 1000.
Another thing that newer members might not realize: Many members who have "Registered:" dates of late December 2002 and early January 2003 have actually been members for several years longer than that. (The site was originally started in Feburary 1998 by our founder Bob Howdeshell, also known as hsbbweb.) There was a server change that put the site out of action for a while in December 2002, then as previous members learned that the site was back, they needed to re-register.
I've been thinking that it might actually make sense to change the automatic title that kicks in at 500 posts to something like "Prolific Poster", though I would then need to hand-enter the custom title of HSBBWeb Old Timer for the true old timers. Any opinions on that?
