Folks, they say that the rain should stop by 7:00 tonight. In the mean time, it is absolutely pouring. I can't see the cars in the parking lot from my room. Haven't been able to for over a half an hour. That outfield will come into play tonight.

For over a half hour...really? That's about the time I went in there and lowered the shade.

BTW: My lovely wife is driving down to Memphis to watch our son play some intra-squad games at his school. She just reported to me that there have been several nasty accidents on rain slickened I-57 near Marion,IL. One involved several vehicles.

Be careful folks.
I was looking angry because I was going under and you were just sitting there looking at me. I had SOS written in ink as I was giving you that salute. Perhaps the ink smeared and you couldn't read it. Rain has stopped. Temp is dropping FAST! Wind is increasing and it is getting very dark west of here. Oh, here's why:

More rain headed our way!!!
No she's not Meeting Me in St.Louis...or anyone else for that matter.

I just bird-dogged her in to Buc Field at Christian Brothers University from West Memphis,AR. She had never driven into Memphis from I-40 eastbound and I know the route very well.

She is just now sitting down to catch game two of the Buc World Series. The series is an annual match up between two teams made up from CBU's baseball team. They're known as the Bucaneers, hence Buc Field.

It's the culmination of their fall season and it gives Coach Goodwin and his staff a final look, gamewise, at the team before their season starts in early to mid February.

Hopefully our son Nick will be seeing alot of action at third base this year. Last year's third baseman graduated, along with his Gulf South Conference leading .482 BA.

Thanks for asking.

Thanks for noticing but I don't want you to feel like you have to recognize my contributions each time - I was just kidding you this morning. It just seems rather slow today on the hsbbweb.

It's funny but this karma game has made me think of the cartoon the Flinstones where each character's name would play on the word stone or rock in some manner. You even had famous guest appearances like Stoney Curtis, Rock Hudson playing himself, Perry Masonary, and so forth.

Kismet
