I've got a son that is currently a senior in HS. Left handed pitcher. He lives in Cheseapeake, Virginia, but will be moving to NH next summer. He is interested in playing some college ball next year but the out-of-state tuition for a 4 year college will be too much.

Thinking of attending a Junior College for the first year until he gets residency status. There are many JUCO baseball programs down here that are excellent. Just wondering if there is anything comparable up there.

The NJCAA doesn't list any. I've looked further. For those of you that are looking, there ARE community colleges in NH with baseball.

One team is NHTI - New Hampshire Technical Institute. This team plays in the NNESCC conference.

I googled NNESCC and found this: (copied from a website)
Athletics: Teams compete in the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC), the United States College Athletic Association (USCAA), as well as the Northern New England Small College Conference (NNESCC). Sports include men’s and women’s s****r, basketball, volleyball, softball and baseball, skiing, ice hockey, and many other opportunities in intramural athletic competitions.

Our program was recently cut in CT for budget purposes, but in NH, I'd go to Northern Essex CC. Chris Shanahan does an excellent job up there...I know 3 of his kids got NAIA scholarships last year...we beat them 1-0 to get to the JUCO World Series...I'm almost positive (20dad can help) that kids that are near the NH/MA line are able to pay in-state fees to go to NECC. NECC and Massasoit are now the 2 best D-III JUCO's in the region.

very sad to see baseball was cut.a very good program too. wow.

i'm not sure about instste tuition but vit was extremely cheap in comparision to a 4 yr school. the down side is no housing, thats why they are d3 i think. i'd be happy to help anyone get some interest, it's my son with the pull not me.
