Got wind today of Manny possibly coming to Albuquerque to 'rehab' for 10 games prior to his reinstatement July 4. That's great news for our Dodgers AAA affiliate Isotopes. I'm sure the park will be filled to capacity for any and all games in which he's scheduled to appear. But it also makes me wonder where the minor league guys go to 'rehab' a mandatory suspension? Has Manny's sentence effectively been reduced? I'd guess that his stay here would be reimbursed at less than his usual salary, but at least he won't be sitting.
Also interesting, one of the questions being floated in the media here is "how much would you pay to see Manny Ramirez play in Albuquerque? This has some wondering if management is floating a trial balloon for some sort of "special event" price increase, and if Manny is allowed to collect an appearance fee for his rehab stint.
