MICD,

I am 48. I enrolled last year at a college - just to play ball.

Here is what happened.

First at bat - I hit a shot into the RCF gap.

As I rounded first - I sprained my ankle.
When I hit the ground - I banged my head and got a concussion.
I also suffered - immediately - from heat exhaustion and lost almost all aerobic capacity.

The second basemen came over to me - tagged me out. Then asked if I was OK.

I wasnt.

I vomited on his new Nike cleats.

They carried me off the field - and gave me a cigarette and a Budweiser after they dumped my limp body into the dugout. That revived me.

Then they told me to go home.

Unless you are related to Julio Franco - old men should just buy peanuts - eat all of them - and cheer for their team.

BTW - None of this - except the last sentence - is true IMO. LOL

DIII works a little differently...It works based on a semester system...10 semesters to compete during 8 of those semesters...for instance...go to school and play at 18 for two years...leave for 20 yrs...come back at age 40, would still have 2 yrs of eligibility for DIII...where in DI it's a clock from the day you start...5 yrs to compete during 4...
