well my tryouts are tommorrow even though i was on freshmen last year i am still nervous going on jv, i didn't do so hot my freshman year, how much does the freshman coach's opinion affect the jv coaches?
In high school I would guess the coaches are used to seeing some players advance more from year to year than other players. So do some positive thinking and tell yourself that the JV coach is going to be watching for the best players, period.
Forget what happened last year since you can't go back and change that now anyway. Just focus on relaxing and working hard at tomorrow's tryout. Good luck!
We had a young man last year as a Freshman who "didn't do so hot." This year, to this point, he is one of the most improved if not THE MOST IMPROVED, players I've ever coached. He is battling for the #3 spot in our rotation on the Varsity. THAT'S HOW MUCH HE HAS IMPROVED. If you've paid the price and worked hard in the off season, you will reap your rewards.
