The Generals Baseball Club of the Ozarks, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization with roots dating back to 1945, have expanded from fielding collegiate summer/semi-pro teams. They are now offering a high school 18U elite showcase team for the 2007 summer season. The main goal of this new team is to give high school players exposure to college coaches and pro scouts and have already hired a current college coach to manage the team. The Springfield Generals 18U, based in Springfield Missouri, are sanctioned for 2007 by Elite Baseball USA, and will play showcase tournaments at college and university fields throughout the Midwest.
Tournament play will take place during June and July, with additional local weekday home games being played at Price Cutter Park and Meador Park. Highly effective fundraising is available, so there can be minimal cost to play for highly talented and motivated players from southwest Missouri and the surrounding area.
