Off Season Practice

I have a boys 4th grade fast pitch team going into the off season. One of the things that concerns me is the total lack of the neighborhood pickup game (as compared to my own youth). I am having a post season team meeting and would be interested in anyone's suggestions for games that will work for 5 or less kids. My goal is to keep these children playing baseball, it seems all too often children today only participate if it is an organized event.

Stick ball or whiffle ball. It will keep them interested in the game.

You can have an "open gym" of some sort. Better yet, make it a family event so everyone can enjoy the sport.
